After starting in the middle of the school year at Bridgewater Academy, Oyindasola finds it hard to fit in. She has a name that no one can pronounce, she is the only African student on her whole grade floor and facing challenges as the new kid from a different country. She finds herself tapping into her "Black Girl Magic" to remind herself who she is, find her place in her new surroundings, and filter through middle school drama. She educates her classmates on her culture, all while making them put some "Respect on her name," PERIOD!"
